About Adventurers
The Adventurer program was created to support parents in their vital role as a child’s first teachers and spiritual leaders. Its purpose is to strengthen the parent–child relationship and to nurture each child’s growth in the spiritual, physical, mental, and social areas of life. Through the Adventurer program, the church, home, and school work together with parents to help children develop into confident, joyful, Christ-centered young people.
The Adventurer Club gives children the opportunity to belong to a positive, organized peer group. Children in grades 1–4, along with their parents, are invited to participate in activities that build social skills, encourage creativity, and foster teamwork. Programming is intentionally simple, engaging, and hands-on, with parents playing an active role in the learning experience.
One of the key goals of the Adventurer Club is to provide meaningful, exciting experiences that help children look forward with enthusiasm to becoming Pathfinders in the future.
What Is the Adventurer Curriculum Designed to Accomplish?
The Adventurer curriculum helps children:
- Commit their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ at their own level of understanding.
- Develop a positive attitude toward the joys, responsibilities, and blessings of Christian living.
- Build habits, skills, and knowledge that equip them to live for Jesus today.
It also helps parents and caregivers:
Grow in confidence as spiritual mentors and partners with Christ in guiding their children.
What the Adventurer Club Provides
Through fun, creative, and age‑appropriate activities, children are encouraged to:
- Develop a Christ-like character.
- Experience the joy and satisfaction of doing their best.
- Express their love for Jesus in natural, meaningful ways.
- Learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to work and play well with others.
- Discover their God-given gifts and learn how to use them to bless others.
- Understand what makes families strong and how they can contribute to a loving home.
